The 9th National Student Logistics Design Competition “New Youth Wuxing Cup”--Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) Intramural Selection Competition Successfully Ended

Recently, “New Youth Wuxing Cup” Ninth National Student Logistics Design Competition Campus Selection Competition came to an end in Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE). This on-campus audition was conducted by a mechanism similar to that of the national final, including two parts: work evaluation and defense evaluation, with work evaluation accounting for 50% of the total score and defense evaluation accounting for 50% of the total score. The top two teams with the highest total scores advance to the national preliminary round.


The on-campus defense was conducted in the form of online tencent conference, with Prof. Gao Yongling, Associate Prof. Geng Yong, and Associate Prof. Mou Shandong of the Department of Supply Chain and Operations Management of CUFE Business School as the judges. After the evaluation of works, group presentation and defense, the “Four Roads” team and the “Smart Chain” team composed of undergraduates from the classes of 2022 and 2023 stood out and won the qualification to participate in the national competition on behalf of the university.



“The National Student Logistics Design Competition is a large-scale logistics competition organized by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP) for college students across the country, which is included in the “Quality Project” project of the Ministry of Education and the catalog of competitions listed in the assessment of disciplinary competitions in Chinese colleges and universities. Participants are required to conduct in-depth analysis and design according to the cases provided by the organizing committee of the competition, and put forward innovative solutions. The content of the competition is rich and varied, involving information system development, software and hardware development, enterprise management, mathematical modeling, financial analysis, process re-engineering, organizational structure optimization, enterprise strategic management and optimization design of logistics (procurement, packaging, warehousing, distribution processing, distribution, transportation, etc.) and many other aspects.


This campus audition not only exercised students' rigorous and thorough thinking, systematic thinking ability and global view of operation, but also enhanced their teamwork, organizational collaboration and communication skills, which is another innovative application and practice of the integration of industry and education and helps to promote the teaching reform and development of the school's supply chain management profession.
